The IRONWOOD P500 Series of 20” thickness planers provide operators with solid thickness planing machinery that offer a powerful cutting performance. This machine features an enhanced heavy-duty cast iron table that is heat treated and precision ground to assure the greatest rigidity and stability during intense cutting operations. The Ironwood Planers cater to the American woodworker in offering enhanced engineering designs and superior build construction for long-lasting and trouble-free performance.

Technical Advantages

Helical tooling is carefully machined, tempered, and dynamically ground balanced

Integrated digital controller with key pad entry for powered table positioning offers quick and convenient thickness settings to the thousandths of an inch
Precisely designed infeed anti-kickback fingers to enhance the operator safety element
2-sided carbide insert design within the helical cutterhead provides users with a higher chip-removal rate, superior surface finishing, and lower noise levels
Variable feed speed controls, from 19-39 FPM, are conveniently located on the upper side panel of the planer for improved versatility
Centralized control panel includes on/off controls for the cutterhead and feed, motorized table controls with keypad entry and digital readouts, and an emergency stop
Ironwood’s bed roller adjustments feature the ‘quick-set’ adjustment from 0.0” to 0.5” as well as the handy raise and lowering lever to ensure smooth feed rates
An enclosed micro-adjustment dial is also provided to ensure precise positioning of the table
